Discover meditation, Tibetan Buddhism, the Lerab Ling Temple and its 7m high Buddha statue in an exceptional environment
These two days are an opportunity to visit a unique place dedicated to spiritual search inspired by the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, as well as to its study and practice. The retreat centre also houses a treasure trove of sacred art, with many paintings, decorations and statues, including a 7-meter high Buddha, made by artists from Bhutan and Nepal.
Set in a beautiful natural setting, the Lerab Ling Temple is inspired in all its aspects by the best examples of Tibetan monastery architecture from the Himalayas and is a living testimony to the great wisdom tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, its iconography and its architecture.
We will offer a varied programme: visits to the site and the temple, workshops, meditation sessions in the temple and in nature. Children will be able to participate in a family quiz and discover the site while having fun.
You can find the full programme on the French page.
WHY ARE HERITAGE DAYS AT LERAB LING NOT FREE?
As Lerab Ling is a private estate, we cannot afford to offer these days for free. We therefore offer a reduced rate of €5 which allows us to take care of the temple and its esplanade. The days are free for children under 15 years of age.
Free admission is generally only available on Heritage Days for public monuments belonging to the State and local authorities, and for museums with the Musée de France label.
