CONTEXT
Lérab Ling is a Buddhist retreat center located in the south of France, in Roqueredonde (Hérault). Lérab Ling was recognized as a religious congregation by decree of the French Minister of the Interior in 2002. Around sixty people, mostly members of the Rigpa Lérab Ling Buddhist congregation, reside there permanently. The center offers a varied program of Buddhist teachings and meditation and practice retreats throughout the year.
MAIN MISSION
Carry out maintenance work on green spaces.
Detect and report anomalies to management.
Clean, maintain, and store tools and technical rooms/work areas.
Participate, if required, in managing the inventory of equipment and products.
Participate, if required, in monitoring and supporting contractors’ interventions for specialized work.
Participate in the development of new landscaped areas.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Know, apply, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Be familiar with operating techniques for different types of tools and equipment.
Know the rules for storing and using hazardous products.
Master safe manual handling techniques and postures.
Master techniques for maintaining and cleaning tools, materials, and equipment.
Be able to organize work according to the schedule and oral or written instructions.
Hold a driving licence if required (transporting materials and tools).
APTITUDES
Be organized, thorough, and methodical.
Work independently while demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
Be responsive and have good interpersonal skills.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Working days and hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–12:00 and 13:00–17:00 (excluding public holidays).
Carrying loads; working in bent and kneeling positions.
Handling machinery, mechanized equipment, electrical devices, and dangerous tools.
Working at height in compliance with regulations and with the employer’s authorization.
Possible driving of a company vehicle (transporting materials and tools).
Wearing professional clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE).
You may be required to undertake training to obtain relevant authorizations/certifications.
