Khandro Tsering Chödrön’s Anniversary 2027
Khandro Tséring Chödrön’s 16th Parinirvana Anniversary
Dates: 28 – 30 May 2027. At Lerab Ling and Live Online.
During three days, we will celebrate the extraordinary life of Khandro Tsering Chödrön with practice, offerings, videos and prayer. Lerab Ling will be streaming Yumka Dechen Gyalmo tsok during the day, and Tendrel Nyesel tsok in the evenings.
The practice will be dedicated to the long life of all the living teachers of the Dharma, and also to the prosperity of the Rigpa sangha, so that all Rigpa groups may overcome any financial difficulties they face and thrive in the future.
As many of you will know, there are many stories from Tibet and from when Tibetans arrived with nothing in India in the 1950’s of great tsok offerings being made to create auspicious conditions and prosperity and to overcome obstacles.
We would like to encourage everyone to join in, either by making generous offerings on your shrines at home or to make a contribution to centres where groups of practitioners can gather for tsok practice. And we’d like to ask you to contribute so that Lerab Ling can make a really abundant offering on your behalf in the place that Khandro Tsering Chödrön in the final years of her life called home.
Saturday 29 May is the actual anniversary of Khandro Tsering Chödrön and Sunday 30 May is Dakini Day.
WHO THIS EVENT IS FOR
This event is open to all Rigpa Mandala students, nevertheless to practise the actual sadhanas, you need to have received the respective empowerments. If you don’t have the empowerment(s), you can focus on your own personal practice, whilst enjoying the atmosphere and rejoicing in Khandro-la’s inspiring life story.
>HOW TO PREPARE
You can support your practice by studying the Kyerim and Tendrel Nyesel sections of A Guide to Vajrayana Practice for the Rigpa Sangha which is available on ZAM. This will help make your participation as meaningful as possible.
Which texts to bring:
• Daily Sadhana book, for Riwo Sangchö, Tendrel Nyesel and Dharmapalas. Some of the practices might be done in English. You can either join in your own language or download the English text from ZAM.
• Yumka Dechen Gyalmo Sadhana text available from ZAM for all those who have the empowerment and are familiar with this practice: download hardcopy
Read more information: How to access Vajrayana materials on ZAM.
HOW TO FOLLOW
For those who cannot come to Lerab Ling to follow this practice event in person, you can join online via Prajna live (without registering online). This live streaming is offered on donation basis. We suggest 21€ per day as a contribution to the offerings, the running of the event and to make the streaming possible. You can donate here
