Visit and discover Lerab Ling

Lerab Ling is a sanctuary open to all—a place where we can relax, reflect, and find peace.

We offer guided tours of the temple and grounds, as well as introductory days on meditation and Buddhism for individuals and groups.

Each year, we welcome more than 15,000 visitors who come to discover this Tibetan Buddhist Retreat Centre and its temple. Inspired by the finest examples of traditional Tibetan monastery architecture, the temple stands as a living expression of Tibetan Buddhist wisdom, art, and symbolism. Inside, we can admire a remarkable collection of sacred art—paintings, decorations, and statues, including a 7-metre-high Buddha—all set within a serene mountain landscape about an hour from Montpellier in southern France.

Lerab Ling is also home to a vibrant community of monastics and lay practitioners, and for over 30 years has been an active centre for discovering, studying, and practising Tibetan Buddhism in Europe.
