Kurukulla Drupchen

The magnetizing practice that, on a common level helps us gain control over our life situation and circumstances, and on a deeper level, helps us gain direct recognition of the nature of our mind.

Lerab Ling is slowly warming up and we have just started preparations for two of the most special events this spring: the Kurukulla drupchen (12-21 May), followed by the Chime Pakma Nyingtik drupchö (23-25 May).

According to Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche’s divination, Kurukulla is the most beneficial practice for Sogyal Rinpoche at this moment in time—for his health, wellbeing and the flourishing of his activities. It is, of course, a very special practice that can help all of us to progress on our own spiritual path. Both of these Tara practices are especially powerful and transformative methods that are said to be immediate in their benefit.

The practices will be presided over by Neten Chokling Rinpoche and Orgyen Tobgyal Rinpoche, together with over 30 Lamas and monks from the Chokling Monastery in India. All those who ever attended one of the Kurukulla drupchens that were held at Lerab Ling in recent years, will attest to its great power and blessing.

This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself completely in one or both practices and to have a direct experience of the power of participating in a group practice of this magnitude. You can find more about magnetizing activity, what it is and how to practice it.

If you are not able to come to Lerab Ling and participate in the drupchen but would like to make an auspicious connection with this powerful practice, you can make an offering towards it.

You can dedicate your offering in the name of a family member, a loved one, or for a particular cause. This may also be done when making an offering online via the comment section (at the bottom of the page). All dedications will be kept in front of the main Buddha statue in the temple throughout the drupchen, and will be honoured at the conclusion of the practice.

The Drupchen is open to Rigpa Ngöndro and Dzogchen mandala students. If you are a Rigpa Meditation mandala student and wish to attend the drupchen, please complete this form. If you are not a Rigpa mandala student and you wish to attend the drupchen, please submit your request here.
