Summer Meditation Retreat

Summer Meditation Retreat

Embrace Life with Love, Presence and Confidence

Do you feel you need more confidence to deal with your emotions and live without fear?
Join us for a 9-day retreat, where we’ll explore the transformative power of meditation to discover who we really are, our true nature, which is peaceful and naturally loving.

Suitable for all levels, this retreat offers a chance to reconnect with ourselves and others in a supportive and inspiring environment.

In the Dzogchen tradition* of Tibetan Buddhism, it is said that our true nature is perfect and complete, although it is obscured by our thoughts and emotions. Meditation is the key to freeing us from these obscurations, and helping us reveal our inherent wisdom and compassion.

Through teachings, guided meditations, contemplations and physical exercises, you will discover how to:

  • Cultivate love and compassion
  • Develop clarity and inner strength
  • Connect with others and yourself
  • Find peace and calm in your daily life

Led by experienced meditation teachers from Rigpa, the retreat offers:

  • Guided group practices in order to get a deep experience of meditation practice
  • Moments of exchange and sharing of experiences
  • Time for questions and one-to-one guidance
  • Periods of silence
  • Conscious movement practices
  • Free time for personal integration

If you are following Rigpa’s Bodhi programme, this is a great opportunity for you to meet up with other meditators in a retreat setting, and deepen your knowledge and practice  with some of the main Bodhi instructors.

Join us for a transformative journey into the heart of meditation

HOW TO FOLLOW

We recommend following the full retreat to get full experience and a good grounding in meditation. However there is a short option of 5 days (from 25 to 29 July).

The period from 30 July to 2 August will be dedicated to longer meditation sessions, including a few days in complete silence.

Please note: Although the proposed practices are intended for everyone, they are contraindicated in certain cases, particularly for people suffering from mental health problems. In case of doubt, a discussion with your doctor or therapist or an exchange with one of the retreat instructors will be needed to validate your participation in this retreat. Please send an email to lerabling.events.contact@rigpa.org.

*Dzogchen (Tibetan): meaning “Great Perfection” or “Great Completeness”
Dzogchen is the oldest and most direct spiritual teaching within Tibetan Buddhism. It offers one of the clearest and most effective methods for recognizing the fundamental nature of your own mind.

TEACHERS

This retreat will be led by Rigpa teachers and instructors who have specialised for many years in the area of meditation:

RIGPÉ YESHÉ PROGRAMME FOR CHILDREN & TEENS
